Getting the Whole Family There Is the Hardest Part
A family reunion is supposed to be about being together — not about coordinating six itineraries across four airlines, two time zones, and a connecting flight that everyone's grandmother shouldn't have to make. By the time the last branch arrives, the first day is already gone.
Private charter collapses the logistics. Each branch of the family departs from their own city on their own schedule, arrives at a private terminal with no security lines, and walks off the aircraft directly to ground transport. Grandparents board from the car — no terminal walks, no jet bridges, no overhead bins. Kids bring their car seats without gate-checking. The family dog flies in the cabin.
- 01
Multi-City Departures
One branch in Boston, another in Dallas, a third in San Francisco. We coordinate separate aircraft from each city to arrive at the reunion destination within the same window — one itinerary, one coordinator.
- 02
Every Generation Flies Comfortably
Grandparents board from the car with no terminal walk. Toddlers nap in familiar car seats secured in the cabin. Teenagers keep their devices. No connecting flights, no layovers, no splitting the family across rows 14 and 38.
- 03
Pets Fly in the Cabin
The family dog doesn't get left behind or crated in a cargo hold. Pets travel in the cabin with the family — no breed restrictions, no carrier size limits, no sedation. They're part of the reunion too.
- 04
Flexible Arrivals & Departures
Not every branch arrives on the same day or leaves at the same time. We schedule staggered flights — early arrivals on Thursday, the rest on Friday, returns split across Sunday and Monday. No one is stuck on someone else's schedule.
Who This Is For
Annual Gatherings
The Annual Family Reunion
Twenty-plus relatives from five states converging on one destination for a long weekend. You've done it on commercial before — the delays, the missed connections, the cousin who almost didn't make it. Charter eliminates the travel anxiety so everyone actually relaxes.
Milestone Events
Milestone Gatherings
Grandma's 80th birthday. A 50th anniversary celebration. The events where everyone needs to be there and the travel needs to be seamless. Private charter ensures the people who matter most arrive comfortably and on time — no exceptions.
Multi-Generational
Three-Generation Trips
Grandparents, parents, and grandchildren traveling together for the first time — or the twentieth. The logistics of flying a 90-year-old and a 2-year-old on the same commercial itinerary are a nightmare. Private charter makes it effortless.
Memorial
Memorial & Legacy Travel
Families gathering after a loss, scattering ashes at a meaningful location, or honoring a tradition that a loved one started. These trips carry emotional weight — the travel should carry none. We handle the logistics with discretion and care.

How Family Reunion Charter Works
- 1
Tell Us Who's Coming from Where
Reunion dates, destination, and a rough headcount by city. We map every branch — how many travelers, departure airports, special needs like mobility assistance or car seats, and whether the dog is coming.
- 2
We Match Aircraft to Each Group
A family of four from Denver gets a different jet than a group of ten from Atlanta. Each aircraft is sized for the group's headcount, luggage volume, and route distance — no one is crammed and nothing gets left behind.
- 3
Coordinated Arrivals, Zero Stress
All branches arrive within the same window at the destination FBO. Ground transport is staged for each group — SUVs, sprinters, or whatever the venue requires. The reunion starts the moment everyone lands, not hours later.
- 4
Staggered Returns on Your Terms
Grandparents head home Sunday morning. The cousins stay through Monday. The hosts leave last on Tuesday. Each branch departs when they're ready — no forced early mornings and no missed checkout deadlines.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many family members can fly on one aircraft?
Light jets seat 6–8 passengers, midsize jets seat 8–10, and heavy jets seat 12–16. For larger reunions, we coordinate multiple aircraft departing from different cities — each sized to that branch's headcount and luggage.
Can elderly family members with mobility issues fly privately?
Absolutely. Private FBOs have ground-level boarding — no terminal walks, no jet bridges. Passengers step from the car directly to the aircraft stairs, which on many jets are just 3–4 steps. For members with significant mobility limitations, we select aircraft with wider cabin doors and lower entry steps. Wheelchairs can be driven directly to the aircraft door.
Can we bring our dog on the flight?
Yes. Dogs and other pets fly in the cabin with the family — no cargo hold, no carrier size restrictions, no breed limitations. We confirm pet-friendly cabin configurations during the planning stage. For international reunion destinations, we help coordinate pet entry documentation requirements.
What if our family is coming from five different cities?
That's exactly what multi-city coordination is built for. We arrange separate aircraft from each departure city with arrival times aligned at the destination. One TruNorth coordinator manages the entire puzzle — aircraft selection, timing, ground transport — and the family sees a single master itinerary.
How far in advance should we book a reunion charter?
For peak travel periods (summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break), 60–90 days is recommended to lock in preferred aircraft and pricing. Off-peak dates are more flexible. For large groups requiring 3+ aircraft, earlier booking gives us the widest selection of matched fleet options.
Can we bring car seats and strollers?
Yes. Car seats are secured directly in cabin seats — no gate-checking. Strollers, pack-n-plays, and other child equipment travel in the baggage compartment. Unlike commercial flights, there are no size restrictions on child equipment and no risk of damage from cargo handling.
How much does a family reunion charter cost?
Pricing depends on routes, aircraft types, number of legs, and timing. Charter is priced per aircraft — ten passengers cost the same as four. For a specific quote, call (310) 862-5387 or request a quote with your reunion dates, destination, departure cities, and estimated group sizes per city.
Can different branches arrive and depart on different days?
Standard practice. Staggered arrivals and departures are the norm for reunion charters. The Florida branch arrives Thursday, the Midwest group Friday morning, and everyone departs between Sunday and Tuesday. Each leg is scheduled independently.
Do you handle ground transportation at the destination?
Yes. SUVs, sprinter vans, or whatever the venue and group size require. Ground transport is staged at the destination FBO timed to each aircraft's arrival — so no one waits on the tarmac while the other branch is still in the air.
Can we charter to international reunion destinations?
Yes. Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and Canada are common international reunion destinations. We handle customs pre-clearance coordination, confirm passport and entry requirements for every passenger, and work with destination FBOs to arrange ground services on arrival.
